Admin America - FSA/DCA
Admin America provides a Medical Flexible Spending Account (FSA) which is a pre-tax plan that employees can contribute pre-tax dollars from their paycheck to their FSA account to be used for medical/dental/vison expenses. You will save an amount equal to the taxes you would have paid on the money you set aside in your account.
Admin America also provides a Dependent Care Account which is a pre-tax plan to employees can contribute pre-tax dollars from their paycheck to pay for day care for children up to age 13, before school and after school programs, day camp during the summer and a disabled dependent of any age. To qualify for this type of spending account, both parents must be working.
By law, you are not eligible to contribute to a FSA if you are contributing to a HSA.
Note: The FSA is a use it or lose it type of account. Meaning, if there are any funds leftover from the year, it does not carry-over to the next year. However, there is an extended grace period of 75 days after the plan year to use your money for healthcare expenses (unless you are switching to the high deductible health plan). Since our plan year ends on 4/30/2024, the 75 day mark is July 15th. And you have an additional 60 days (Sept. 15) to file claims that were incurred by July 15th.
